How do I download the shopkick app?
The shopkick application is available for the iPhone and Android phones. If you have an iPhone, search for shopkick in the App Store or download here. If you have an Android phone, find shopkick in Google play or download here.
How do I share this app with a friend and get rewards for it?
Find your profile in the upper left corner of the welcome page, then on your friends number next to all-time kicks to send friends an invite email. Make sure they download shopkick from the link in the email and verify their account. Doing so will give them a few kicks to get started. You can also connect to Facebook from the settings page to post your activity to your timeline let friends see how cool shopkick is.
Why I can get kicks for walking into some stores, but not others? How do I know which stores have walk-in rewards?
On the welcome screen, you’ll see numbers that correspond to the maximum number of kicks available for walk-ins. You can also tap on the bottom map bar, tap on a blue shopping area and find kicks available at each store. Once you visit a store that offers walk-in rewards, just enter the store, open the app in the entrance area, and wait for a few seconds until the big blue welcome bubble pops up in the shopkick app. While we don’t offer kicks at every store we feature in shopkick, we still want to help you find hot picks and deals at your favorite stores.
I earned 100 kicks for walking into a store last time, but today I only earned 75. Why?
From time to time, the number of kicks you can earn may change. Sometimes you’ll be able to earn a lot more kicks than normal. Keep checking the app everyday to see how many kicks are available that day.
Why are some of the kicks on the welcome page locked?
You can unlock extra walk-in kicks, which we call build-ups, by browsing lookbooks before you head to the store. An entire lookbook must be viewed before kicks are unlocked, and kicks can only be collected upon walk-in. Keep in mind that only stores that show a lock on the welcome screen have build-ups available. Why didn’t my build-up apply? Build-ups only apply on regular walk-in days.
How come I don’t earn kicks every time I walk into a store?
When you see that a walk-in is not currently available, it usually means you have hit your walk-in limit for that store or chain. Check the app daily to see what is available.
How do I refresh the store list?
When you head to a new location, wait a few minutes and any new stores will show up in the list.
A store I visit isn’t on the store list, what can I do?
Try pulling down the screen to refresh – occasionally the GPS coordinates are dated and have you located in the wrong place. You might have to go outside to get a GPS signal.
How do I scan a product?
Find products to scan by tapping on stores from the map page. To scan an item, visit the store with the item and then tap on the item in the app. Your phone will switch to camera mode. Hold it in front of the barcode of the product. After a few seconds, the barcode should be recognized.
I just scanned one of the products, but the app told me the scan was unsuccessful. Why?
Sometimes products may not be recognized by our app, which could be causing the problem. Make sure that you are scanning the correct product in the right size or color. You should try scanning it again, and if after several tries it is still unsuccessful, you may want to try scanning a different product to receive kicks instead.
How come I don’t collect kicks every time I scan an eligible product?
There is a limit to how many times you can scan each product, which you may have reached. Try again, and if it still doesn’t work, then you may want to wait until tomorrow to scan again.

How do I link my card?
Tap on the settings tab in your profile, then tap “Buy & Collect”. Follow the steps to link your card through Visa’s or Master Card’s secure site. We never save your credit card number, so Buy & Collect is completely secure. Once you are linked you will receive a blue bubble that says "Success!"
Where can I use Buy & Collect?
Currently, American Eagle, Old Navy, Wet Seal, Arden B, Toys "R" Us, Crate & Barrel, the Disney Store, Levi's, and select CVS locations participate in our Buy & Collect program. Only in-store purchases qualify for Buy & Collect, except at Levi’s. Once you make a purchase with a linked card, we’ll add kicks to your kicks bank in your profile. We’ll deposit them to your account after the return period is up.
How do I get credit for Best Buy purchases?
To use Best Buy's kicks-for-purchase program, you don’t need to use your linked card, just give your shopkick-registered phone number to the cashier at checkout to add to your receipt.
I want to use an offer, but it says I have to verify my phone number - what do I do?
Tap on the profile icon in the top left corner, then on the settings button in the top right corner. Tap on account settings and you’ll see a button to verify your phone number.

I just got an offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply click the “Use it” button and the offer will be ready to use. When you are ready to purchase, click the “Checkout” button and the phone will be ready to display a special code to the cashier.
I just got a Best Buy offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Tell the cashier at Best Buy that you are a shopkick user and give them the phone number you registered with shopkick. Have the cashier type in your cell phone number into the RZ/SK number entry field on their cash register. Any applicable shopkick discount will automatically and magically appear on your receipt.
I just got a Macy’s offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply head to checkout with your item(s) and make sure you receive the displayed sale price or discount. If you do not receive the sale price or discount, show the cashier the Macy’s offer on your phone to confirm.
I just got a Target offer! Now how do I redeem it?
Simply select the offer you want to redeem in the app, tell the cashier at Target that you are a shopkick user and have the cashier scan the mobile barcode directly from your phone display with their scanner. If Target’s scanner can’t read the barcode, have the cashier type in the code manually into their cash register. Any applicable shopkick discount will automatically and magically appear on your receipt.
My offer isn’t being accepted. What do I do?
If the code does not work at check out, please double check with the store employee and make sure the proper code is being used. If that doesn’t resolve the issue, please tap the back button and see if you can click the “Use it” button again. If the same code is displaying or you cannot tap the back button, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org from the settings page in the app so we can identify your phone and help you resolve the situation.
How do I redeem my kicks for rewards?
Tap on the present icon in the upper right corner of the welcome page to get started. Just tap on the reward you want and select “Redeem”. Your reward will appear in your profile. Keep in mind that you will only be able to redeem a reward if you have enough kicks in your account.
What kind of rewards can I exchange my kicks for?
You can redeem kicks for many different rewards. You can get restaurant vouchers, iTunes gift cards, Best Buy, Target, Macy’s, Sports Authority or American Eagle gift cards, movie tickets, or even a cruise around the world. You can also donate them to your favorite cause. More rewards are coming up all the time, so be sure to check back frequently.
Where can I find bonuses?
Bonuses are scattered across different stores. Hunt for bonuses by flipping through lookbooks marked with a star. Bonuses can include kicks, bonus pieces, badges or even extra kicks for your next walk-in. Keep track of your bonus pieces on the bonus board in your profile.
I have a bonus piece, but it says I need 3 of a kind to complete the set. What does that mean?
You’ll need to collect three bonus pieces of a set to unlock the bonus. Think of each piece as a part of a puzzle. Once you have all three of the pieces, you’ll have the complete picture.
I completed a set. Now what?
Congrats! Bonus pieces that aren’t extra kicks will appear in your profile. If they include extra kicks, they’ll be added to your kick total.
